Bio
Dr. Longjian Liu is a tenured Full Professor of Epidemiology in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health (SPH) and holds an adjunct professor appointment at the Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Liu serves as an advisor to PhD and MPH students. He has also served on numerous departmental, school, and university committees. His leadership roles include serving as the former Interim Chair of the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health and former Chair of the School’s MPH Admissions Committee.
As an NIH-funded Principal Investigator, Dr. Liu’s research leverages large-scale longitudinal epidemiological studies in the United States, including MESA, WHI, ARIC, HRS, and the Health ABC Study, as well as major national health surveys (NHANES, NHDS, NHIS, BRFSS, NIS, MEPS, and LSOAs). His work also spans international health initiatives with Japan and the World Health Organization, including NIPPON DATA, the WHO-CARDIAC Study, and the WHO-WHS. Dr. Liu has authored over 120 peer-reviewed journal articles, textbooks, and book chapters.
